After over six years of fulltiming my wife says it's time to change a few things. The first to go is the propane frig.We had a free standing Crystal Cold which had been replaced once under warranty and now was not cooling right.I just put in a Summit model #ffbf280w and with our lifestyle an electric frig. makes more sense.
Next to go is the laminate flooring which is going to be a big project. Most of the cabinets are sitting on top of the floor which will have to cut around. Having granite counter tops will not allow me to remove my cabinets. We have been looking at using either bamboo or cork flooring. Has anyone used any one of these products or have heard how these products are holding up?
I have a lot of other smaller projects to be done, making new end tables,a lot of varnishing and then I need to start underneath the bus.I have to replace all the shocks and all fluids. This should keep me busy for a while.

On my truck conversion-I plan on using that exact model of Summit refrigerator. Few questions-how noisy is it? What method are you using to keep the doors closed during transport? (thinking of using velcro straps) Are you adding a lip or a small fence to the interior shelves to keep the food from vibrating towards the door?
I looked at all the models of refrigerators-GE had one that's very similar, but made in Korea. Where did you order your Summit from? Because of California sales tax, I found it to be cheaper to order from New York. I believe $1060.00 delivered to my door was the cheapest I found. Good Luck, TomC
On my last frig. we used a product called SAFLOC which worked well, but I am also thinking using some sort of bungee cord. We have had the new frig. running for 3 days and it is very quiet. It is only five inches from the ceiling, but my wife loves it and the bottom freezer design is really nice.We did not have any type of lip on other other frig.and it seemed to work well.Just be carefull of the first time opening the door after bouncing down the road.

Rip, at the recent TBR, the Kims had put a luggage strap , fastened to cabinets on each side, to keep the door shut. It also held the fridge in place. One hand opening .
Putting one on "JIMMY" tonight.
