we're in spartanburg, sc working at a new koa, old campground. anyone in the area. we stopped by a local repair shop and there's a gm buffalo, an Eagle, and an in-use Setra tour bus, in need of repair.
anyone in the area, or anything going on in the area? anyone know who owns the eagle at the repair shop. the guy at the shop said it had some work done, but never picked up for 2 yrs.
Yeah were over here in Taylors,
Where's the campground?
Lotsa busnuts around.
also lotsa gospel singers around with buses
I'm in Greer & work in Spartanburg.
Might be able to have lunch or something.
I am in Spartanburg. We have an 05 Eagle. Give me a call tommorrow at 864-599-0220. Eric.
From the map looks like you are about 15-20 min. from us.
Hey Tom,
I am only 20 minutes north of Eric. How long you gonna be in the area? Tell us some details on the Eagle, might be a good parts bus.
Tom Hamrick
1984 Eagle 10S
i'm going up by that repair shop today and i'll try to get some more info on the eagle. like i said, i think there was some work done, but quite a while ago. the kid i talked to wasn't sure of details. like maybe bad transmission. but the outside looked ok, still good doors on the bays.
the campground is on the spartanburg side of gaffney, off exit 87.
we ought to get some time off over the weekend and we try to see the area on Sunday.
i thought one of you showed up last night. got up this morning with an MCI next to me. With a SLIDE-OUT n the driver's side!!
Turns out he got it from his step-father, built in 96, but it's a 72 mci. looked well done, raised roof, slide, nice interior. they weren't familiar with the annual migration to Arcadia, but they are now.
They were on their way to VIR for the kumho enduro race. turns out the guy is one of the driver's. How do you go from a 20 ton 40 ft bus to an enduro race car?
You are about 5 miles from me. Would love to see your rig. Those busses must be at the 110 exit off i 85?
sorry, didn't see your post til now.
no, the busses are at exit 83, then back towards cowpens, on the right not even 1/2 mile from 85.
we'll be here at the campground, which is on the south side of 85, between exits 87 and 90. says koa.
the eagle is an o1, nice sides, some discoloration on paint in back. the kid said it's been there about 2 yrs. the fixed it, the owner came out, looked at it, said he'd be back to pick it up and never did. same with the gmc. they've got the doors blocked shut to keep people out, cause they said they found some people living in the gmc once.
the kid told me he'd be happy to get rid of them, get them out of the lot. but i have not yet talked to his father.
james, the cell is 440 **225 ----8926. give me a call. or anyone else in the area. we'll be here another week at least. not usually during the day though cuase we are working.
Yeah I think the exit is 83 and the Hwy is 100 in Cowpwns
The eagle is parked on the right side of the Garage. We came out you way yesterday on the way toCharlotte. Didn't have time to stop.
any good diesel mechanics near gaffney or spartanburg. i've seen horton, and something called catss and freightliner only works on their own. anyone else good? no, i don't NEED any work done today, although i'm probably overdue in my book for a couple filters.
Talk to Johnny at Jeans, or Juan at Deltaways. Both in Greenville.
There is a Williams& Williams at 101 and 85, They seem OK and have not heard anything bad before of them.
Cal Juan. he is good personal friend and knows buses inside and out. He is an awesome DD mechanic.
Here are his numbers 864-271-1967 Shop and 864-444-0967 cell. tell him Rusty sent you.
