Title: Genset for someone on this board-Not affiliated with the seller! Just FYI
Post by: grantgoold on October 27, 2009, 03:32:41 PM
Again, I hope this doesn't get me in trouble. I am only trying to get someone access to a potential bus genset. I have no financial interest in the item.

Good luck!

I thought I saw this a few weeks ago and thought they mentioned it was removed from a boat.

That's awful big for a 9KW genset. Our 20KW appears to be about the same size. Ours was a Kubota, though. I am not sure if that makes a difference. I wonder how many hours it has for "very low hours."

Otherwise it seems to be a GREAT price. We just sold our 2001 Kubota (Marathon head), with 1K hours, for $5500 (it also included a B&S 100 amp transfer switch).

I wonder if it is single phase, or three phase....

God bless,

John

Since it's out of a race car trailer it will be single phase, virtual certainty.

Kohler builds things heavy. I have kohler 4 kw light plant in my pickup running now and it is heavy. 14 hp and my little PU looks loaded. Jerry
