Any one ever heard of Koni shocks?? Twice the price What's the deal?
Koni shocks are well known and respected in everything from race cars to railroad trains. Back in 2000 I was looking for some new shocks for my GMC. I had heard some negative comments about some cheaper shocks not holding up well. I had it narrowed down to Bilstein and Koni. I chose Koni because the firmness was adjustable.
I initally installed them adjusted near the middle of the firmness range. Still had a little too much bounce for my preference. I then adjusted them to be near the firm end of their range, and really like the difference it made. Someday the rears will get Konis, too. Just prioritizing what needs to get done first.
