Well guys...
Many of you have helped me a great deal after our disaster with the house fire... I had originally planned to rebuild my poor 4905, but unfortunately... I just can't get the finances or time together for it, and my health is continuing to decline, so even my ability to work on it is impaired. My tools also burned or were damaged beyond use in the fire, so... I'm out of options at the moment.
I had found a 4905 to replace her with, but it seems that deal isn't going to work out either. The money I thought I had... I don't. My parents took about half of what I had available to me without telling me, so... I'm pretty much screwed on all fronts at the moment. The best I can do is sell / part out the burned 4905 and hope I come up with enough money to get another shell with that I won't have to do too much to.
I think I've found that shell, but I'm short on the cash needed....
I'd rather sell the coach as a complete unit rather than part her out, and realistically... I'd get a LOT more money from parting her out than selling her whole... But, my hope is that someone will see her for what she is... A rare piece of history. She's one of only 331 ever made, as most of you know... And honestly, I've never seen another one of her year.
Engine, transmission, tires, everything's good mechanically. She does have a minor leak in the rear road side brake can, but that leak stops once she fully airs up (I'm pretty sure it's a minor seal issue, but I haven't taken the can off and disassembled it to try to clean/lubricate it)...
There's a brand new set of windshields with seals. I intend on finishing the work to clean/paint the windshield sealing surfaces and put the glass in, time and health permitting. The seat pedestal is there, but it needs a new seat attached to it. There's also a good steering wheel that was donated that I haven't attached yet (thank you for that donation!). The rims on the steer tires are Alcoa's and look pretty sharp. Tires are in good condition. The rear cap is undamaged and the engine door is the replacement fiberglass type, also undamaged.
The interior was a flash fire. The front end got the worst of it. I'm going to clean her up the best I can with the tools and materials I have available to me, but I no longer have a pressure washer or steam cleaner... So the cleaning will be fairly limited to trash removal.
Rust is minimal. Bulkheads look great and undamaged (no cracks or rust that I can locate).
I'm asking $3500 for the shell, I know she's worth at least that. If I can't get that... I'll start parting her out. I have to have at least that to cover the money that I need to replace her... I don't want to part with her, I know she can be salvaged pretty easily... I just don't have the money, time or health to do it at this time... :(
If anyone is interested, let me know... I can go take fresh pictures of whatever anyone wants. I can be reached at 318/840\9254 or wired//freak//@//gmail//.com (remove the '//'s of course)...

If you end up parting it out, was yours converted to Shepperd steering? If so I might be interested in the gear box, drag link and pump. Possibly good baggage doors
BTW did you pick up the Flxible?
