It would make a neat project for one with an endless wallet. Mine is just empty all the time.
Looks like a 1936 Yellow Model 719 with a 707 cubic inch gas engine. There is a picture in Modern Intercity Coaches by Larry Plachno
This is a model 743 Yellow coach the difference between it and a 719 yellow coach is three things. One on the front on each side of the destination sign note there are two air vents on the 719 the vents are vertical and smaller in size 743 horzional and larger in size.
2nd on the 719 it has 3 rear windows and the 743 only had 2 rear windows.
3rd the rear engine grill work is different from the 719.
The sun shade was added by some of the Greyhound divisions to keep the back of the bus a little cooler in the summer time.
This old 743 Yellow Coach is a treasure but it would take a treasure to restore it back to it's days when it was a line haul Coach.
Note Greyhound has a model 743 in it's historical fleet and it's a thing of beauty.
A old Greyhound driver said they use to call these old coaches 990's- 9 mile an hour up a steep hill and 90 miles a hour going down the other side!
I am not quite old enough to have seen these coaches when they were new from Yellow Coach but I can recall the PD-3751's Silversides and the ACF IC-41's when they were new in the Greyhound fleet.
