Title: HT740 Trans fluid...
Post by: Ross on July 21, 2006, 04:32:42 AM
HT740 Takes Dextron II, right?  I can't remember and I can't put my finger on it in the manual?  I've never had to add any.  Just want to have a couple gallons on board for emergencies.

Thanks...Ross

If it is red in color it is probably Dextron.  C4 oil is also approved so it couod be hydraulic oil or motor oil. If iit has the the same oil in it since you bought the bus, it might be a good time to change it. Then you will know for sure what is in it.

Yes, if it's red it's Dextron II

You'll probally have trouble finding DextronII  the DextronIII/Mercon will work.

Actually, it's Dexron II or Dexron/Mercon

Not Dextron
