Title: L.E.D Clearance light project
Post by: jmblake on October 08, 2009, 05:03:07 PM
Well I finaly had to get around to this project, I had more clearance lights out then that were on. I searched the web and came up with these Grote 24volt L.E.D lights the price wasn't to bad $12.50 each + pigtail, and they were big enough to cover the hole + the paint ring of the old light. The only problem was after I received the lights I realized they had 2 big hole's in each end, so other than silicone I found some rubber seal from Mcmaster carr that worked out perfectly. Here's a few pictures hope this helps someone with the same problem I had. Jason

Thanks John
The Grote part number was Yellow #47353 and Red #47352, I purchased them from my local truck parts store, for some reason the red was about $1.00 more then the yellow. The hardest part is getting enough wire from inside to splice the new pigtails onto, my bus is spray foamed and the wire's and every thing is foamed, so I have to dig a little foam out to get enough wire.
