Just when you think life is going to get sweet, life has a way of dumping on ya.My hubby finally decided to take an early retirement to enjoy life, since he was going out on a disability we had to go to the doctors to get a physical and just get checked out.We are thinking he will retire due to an old injury that in recent years has become more intolerable and was affecting his ability to work. After all the xrays, blood tests , mri's and ct scans the results come back.Hubby has non small cell carcinoma, non operable, non curable.Prognosis not good,I haven't told him what the prognosis is(most are gone within a year) attitude is very important in fighting this and since he has every thing in order in the event of death I felt it best not to tell him.His doctors are fairly sure they can shrink the tumor and possibly retard it's growth with radiation and chemo.Right now hubby's attitude is great he knows he has a huge fight ahead of him and he is ready for the battle. We need a miracle here so we need all the prayers we can get,the power of prayer is huge and my Gerald needs all the help he can get to win this battle. Hugs Peabody
You came to the right place to ask. We will most definitely pray for him and for you also.
Well Peabody, y'all definetly have our prayers!
Man when it rains it pours! That's now 4 of our known busnuts with serious problems at the moment! :(
:( BK :(
We'll certainly be praying for both of you through this.
We'll be saying some prayers also, keep the faith!
Becky and Paul
We will pray for both of you. Keep the faith, miracles still happen. None of us know when it will be our time. I like to hear that song, live like you were dying, because it reminds me to enjoy each day given, and to tell those we love, and show it.
You have my sympathy and support. Times like these are the most challenging in life. Be strong of heart.
Brian
Prayers will be forthcoming from my way as well. Keep your chin up!
Stuff happens and it's good to know the Lord when it does,I'll be praying for you both.
Peabody, I am sorry to hear this news. And, be sure you are in my prayers.
Have you thought about contacting the various universities that have experimental programs for cancer? I would check with Stanford University as they have many programs going on. I'm sure there are others, too. Stanford helped a friend of mine with a prognosis of a very short time and that was nearly 8 years ago.
