That is shame I met the guy and his wife that owned the co and he knew it was coming he was excepting the order from Bolt ( Peter Pan and Greyhound) for his 45 ft Expressbus but Prevost cut prices and design another bus to make the sale.
It won't affect the school buses they are owned by a British Co.
He bought the coach part from them after Prevost sold their part of Blue Bird
Funny how it worked with 2 British Co's and Prevost (Volvo) involved, very sad day for Blue Bird owners indeed

good luck

Nick,

I don't know if I could make it but I would be interested in the windows and the powertech gensets at the Georgia auction. Is that the one you were thinking about attending?
send me a PM maybe i could have you keep an eye on a couple things for me if you go... I mean if it's a fire sale and they are ridiculous prices maybe you could buy it for me.

Altough come to think of it, it's probably a logistical nightmare. Paypal, wire transfer... shipping etc.

Sure would like to go..Kid in a candy store comes to mind....

That is too bad that they are going out of business. We are going to miss that by one week >:(. The problem is that there is no way of knowing who will be there. If the big RV manufactures were going to be there, then I wouldn't bother.  They would get everything. However, if it isn't very publicized, and nobody will be there, then there will be good deals.

I wish there was a way of knowing....

God bless,

John

That's like a candy store sale.  Don't worry John - it will be well publicized and there will be lots of buyers there.  That won't change how much fun it would be to attend but Georgia is a little far for me to go for an auction fix.  And too hot.  Up here you generally take a mickey of rye to a sale just to stay warm.

Np need to rush to the sale after speaking with a guy in the know most of manufacturing stuff will be bought by a holding Co for a few partners in the Co.look for Navistar to be a big player on this deal
I was told they could buy the assets cheaper this way screw the suppliers and banks the American Corp way
They will probably let some stuff go but I would not look for bargains on the new stuff there are a few WonderLodges and Express Buses to finish.
I was told Houston Metro is waiting on 5-45 ft Express Buses to finish their order and don't seem too worried about it

good luck

That doesn't surprise me Clifford.  The banks come out smelling like roses after putting the company through a bankruptcy to protect their asses.  Meanwhile the businesses that extended unsecured credit get ripped and life goes on.  There used to be a word for that "fraud" but now I think it is "just business".

Thanks, Clifford. That is what I figured, and makes sense. I think that I will save my money for the Ritchie Bros auction ;D. It is coming up November 20 ;D ;D ;D.

God bless,

John

Anyone who goes I would be interested in the dimensions of the holding tanks. I am looking for tank for an MCI9 to fit in one of the bays. It looks like these just might fit. If someone goes and previews, if they could put up the dimensions that would be great and perhaps even a few more pictures.

Thanks
