Title: Fan Drive

I have a bell shaped cast iron fan drive that is 11" diameter on the mounting end.It is 8" long and has a fan mounting flange on the small end.It has clutches inside that are worn out.the name on the tag is worn off.Can anyone tell me what the name is?Can i get parts for it?It is on a 692 Detroit.The part number is 0949.

Sounds like the torus fan drive for a V drive.

Engine oil pressure regulated via a thermostat varied the fan speed.

The fan drive is on a 692 detroit which was put in a 4107 GMC replacing the 871.It is not a torus drive.The housing is smooth with no ribs.

 :)Yea! I found out that it is a Force Controls Industries Fan Drive Assembly and that I can get rebuild parts for it.Thanks for all the help.I can soon get back on the road once I finish swapping out my old fried engine.
