Yesterday we got all set to head out after a lot of packing, rearranging and general jamming and stuffing, I had to remove the rubber strip off the top of the rear bumper so I could get the magnetic tail lights to stick on the back of the truck and found that the cord was to short to reach the front of the truck, so no lights. After a bunch of phone calls and no local source of anything resembling an extention, wire or whatever, I broke down and told carquest to order me a 10 ft extention, it should be in now so I'll be heading down there shortly, I believe it will reach, I can't believe that the lights that I have used since the latter 70's could have shrunk so badly, they always fit the other vehicles I towed lol. With that problem behind us we'll be on our way to tenn, hopefully a boring and uneventfull run of around a 1000 miles or so. I've had wires short out before but never quite this way.
Cody,
Last time I had that problem I both both ends at walmart and added my wire in between. It wasn't pretty but it worked! Now get on the road! ;D
You know it's funny that you get so close and always a little something. Might be a reason for that.
I hope you all have a safe and wonderful trip. To me fall time of the year is the best time to be riding in the bus
Oh the never of those MI squirrels chewing that wire out of the middle an splicing it back together like that!
Shoot Cody shouda called I coulda had on the road yesterday with an easy solution! ;D
Libby coulda rode in the truck and when she saw the lights on the bus she could have turned on the same light on the truck! ;D and then you'd had brakes on the toad too! LOL! ;D
;D BK ;D
OK, OK jest kid'n Libby, but hey it woulda worked! ;D
