Anyone in the area that can help this lady out?

Re: MC7 Need Urgent Help! - Location of the Bus

Hi,

My location where the bus is at is in Neponset, Illinois. We are 1 hour North of
Peoria, IL and about 2.5 hours South of Chicago. We are only 6 miles from
Kewanee, IL (where Good's Furniture is located - they have national TV ads so
you may have heard of Kewanee).

If anyone knows of someone in the area who is an expert who could help me so we
don't ruin the bus it would be wonderful.

Thanks!

Tracy Parish

during our marriage and we used it. It had been converted to a motor home prior
to our purchase of it. My ex was going to but never did show me how to start it
and it ended up with a couple of bad batteries - toward the end of our marriage
he abaondoned us and left the batteries sitting outside the bus. It was last run
in 2006 and has sat since. I now have a local diesel mechanic trying to help me
get it started so my investment doesn't rot into the ground. I just bought two
big batteries for the thing - I believe they are 12 volts each. He needs to know
if he needs to hook up both 12 volts to start it - he didn't want to ruin it and
try until I asked someone who knew. Then, after hooking it up, how do we start
it? A friend of mine looked at it the other day and found a toggle switch down
below the steering column that he thought was for the glow plugs and then a
button to push to start it on the left. Is that all there is to it? Also, the
fuel tank is about 1/3 or 1/4 full and I dumped a treatment into it. Will the
fuel be good still or does it need to be flushed out? My diesel guy thought it
would be OK. I really need any advice I can from you. We live in Illinois and it
gets very cold in the winter and I don't want to let it sit any longer without
starting it up.

the old fuel should not be a problem.
