This is going to be one of the best gathering of buses at TBR so far. I have received notice that several Flxible's, one Scenic Cruiser and of course the usual Eagles, GMC's and MCI's will be there.
I can't wait, it's only one month to go to have some famous Texas style BBQ and of course a Chili Feed by Big John and Blu! That's one thing we like to do is eat good! ;D
See Ya There!
Paul
L'm almost ready!!!!!!!
I was hoping to be able to go but finances arn't going to allow that.

I know how you feel! We could not go to the Eagle Rally in KS this week due to my college schedule and moolah! :'(
Anyone know who was in the converted bus going west on I-20, seen about 45 minutes east of Midland at around 7:45 AM this past Sunday. White bus with 2 black windows, John said it looked like Christy's bus. Anyway, if you're one of us, we saw you!!!
Blu
Well, shoot, no it wasn't us :'(. Wish it had been. . in severe "bus trip" withdrawal. ..need to pull the front tire and repair a very slow leak, but Larry's back has given him fits this Summer and he's having to do more work on company trucks than he really should, so pretty much, he's got a few weeks until our Rally in Carthage to get it off and repaired, and if repaired, then he's got to pull a dual and put it back there, so that will be no fun either! :(
I'm also ready to start on the inside woodwork of Bigbus, but again, he's got to pull out a cattle guard, and then get the dozer out and fix the drive down to the back yard before we dare attempt the hill. I sure would hate to see it high-centered, ha ha. Whoops :o
Anyway, if it HAD been us, you'd have seen a crazy lady waving her silly head off at you, ha ha. Christy Hicks
We won't have the 4107 there, but may drive up on Saturday for a visit.
The coach is still in the shop from getting hit in the front end. I was hoping to get down to the shop today/tomorrow for a status update, but work is finally keeping me busy.
Once the insurance work is done, we're having some other maintenance/repair done, and we're getting a quote on a paint job.
Arthur & Phyllis
Good to hear you might stop by anyway regardless! Hope you are able to resolve the unplanned modification to the front. What color/s are you going with?
Paul
One of the local bus collectors painted his transit in a really nice cream -- just the color I've been looking for. I'll get the paint number from him. I saw the bus a couple of weeks ago, and it was a good paint job. I'd like to find a maroon scotchlite tape to add some contrast.
The coach really needs paint, but business has been slow for the last 2-3 months. It's picking up now, so if the price is right (it'll need soda blasting, first), I'll go with the cream. If the price is really right, I'll add the maroon (either scotchlite or paint).
The painter is just south of Dallas. If it works out, I'll let folks know here ... I do know there have been some other painting threads.

We have 15 confirmed registrations, with room for 20 more in the Cedar Hollow area. I have heard from at least 5 that are pretty sure they are coming, but have not committed yet.
Along with the makes already posted I just received notice that an RTS is going to be there. Now if we could get some other marques we would have it all covered. Prevost, Dina, Setra and Bluebird and anything else I forgot to mention. It's just fun seeing them all in one place at the same time.
We will have fun regardless!
Paul
I moved to AZ but my 1972 Prevost is setting up at Grand Lake OK we are leaving on the 8th. If we can get everthing together we woul like to stop in for a visit at Denison. Can someone give me a cell phone number so I can contact you if get it all together? Thanks, Jerry Galliart 918-864-4124
Jerry,
We just talked on the phone, hope things work out so you and your wife can join us.
Looking forward to meeting both of you.
Paul
We're still waiting to hear whether we'll be attending a wedding reception that weekend or not, we were SO glad that she wasn't having the reception this coming weekend 8), since we're having our rally in Carthage, MO, and would have had to have someone cover for us.
We haven't missed one of yours yet, but are a little worried this time. :(
I do know that at least one of our rally attendees will leave our rally and head to yours, so that's kind of neat. I'm figuring that if we get the go-ahead at the last minute, you won't turn us away at the door! ??? ;) Christy Hicks
Hi, just wondering if any of these bus get togethers are ever in Late Nov. to early Dec. We would love to see all the busses. Maybe some day the timing will be right.
ruthi,
We moved the TBR rally from September to October this year, too many issues last year due to hurricane season and humidity. It should be much cooler this year, which makes for a nice fire at night. Usually rallies around Nov. and Dec. might run into holiday conflicts, dunno.
But then you have Jack's rally over New Years, cause it works for them.
Christy,
Hope it works out for you guys this year, if not, blame it on your daughter! ;D
I think Bob and Sandi Gilbert are the ones you mentioned coming to TBR from your rally. Have fun you guys, maybe we'll make yours next year!
Paul
I am not going to be able to get off work but plan to try and drive up to drool on Saturday. All depends on being able to get a kitchen pass. Sure do want to be there though even if I had to come in a duck again. Rod
Come on up Rod, we'll save some vitals fer ya!
We'll have a lot more coaches than last year, so bring your camera and start drooling! ::)

Paul
Paul if that is the case you'll have 2 heading from Christy's rally to your's! Last I heard from Richard Olsen as he left here he was heading from here, to Christy's, to your's!
But don't hold me too that, as we have not talked to him since he pulled out heading up to O'Fallon, IL to kill a little time along the way!
HAVE A GREAT TIME @ TBR! ;D
;D BK ;D
Yip, Richard is heading our way too, gonna be a good 'un!
Someday we'll have to have a combined event half way in between. We could call it a "Redneck Bus Rally"! ;D Maybe even get Christy to go along with it, then we could really "Git 'er done"! ;)
ONE WEEK TO GO!!! We are going to leave on the 13th and arrive on the 14th around noonish. Anyone going early?
Richard
Richard, are you traveling I 35 we will be in Belton and are making plans to go on the 14th.
I guess I need to make some RSVP or I may get turn away at the gate Huh Paul
good luck
Hi Clifford,
Yup, I-35 thru Ft. Worth to Denton, right on 380 about 10 miles to a mobil home park with some RV spaces. Right across the street from the park is a steak house with the best steak i've ever eaten. we'll leave there on the 14th and be in denison around noon. Maybe we'll run into you on 75.
Richard
Richard, please tell me more about the steak restaurant (name?). It sounds like it's not that far from us, and the last good (reasonably priced) steak place around went out of business. All that's left are the ones that have mortgage bankers available at the entrances.
Arthur
Authur,
The name of the place---Trail Dust Steak House and the mobil home place across the street is Lincoln Park. On the weekends they have a live band with a dance and a big long bar. I looked it up on google earth and it looks like it's still there. Where abouts do you live? You could come have dinner with us.
Richard
Clifford, Just bring your money, we'll find a spot! ;)
Remember folks, we do not pay the daily usage fee, it has been waived.
We will be leaving Abilene Thurs. morning "Early AM", which is 5 or 6 in my book, Becky's might be a bit different. ;D After our stop at Sam's to pickup the BBQ stuff in Sherman, we'll be there late am.
Sonnie told me he was going to be there on Wed. to set up.
See ya there!
Paul
Paul, we are at Monahans now on I 20 call me at the house number and it will transfer to the cell and we will probably spend the night in Abilene
good luck
Richard, there used to be a Trail Dust in northwest Dallas, and that was indeed the best steak for the money. I didn't know there was another Trail Dust -- we'll have to find that one. We're in Carrollton, just barely northwest of Dallas, so we'll have to check that one out. Thanks for the info.
Our schedule is normally quite tight during the week, so it's unlikely we'd be able to meet you for dinner - but thanks for the invitiation.
Arthur
luvrbus When will you be in Belton? I work at the VA in Temple. Give me a call and I'll buy you a cup of coffee. Two5Four 4nineThree 43twothree. I get off at 4pm. Rod
Just took the ole gal out for a spin...............Uhh, I mean Dreamscape......... ;D
Took the long way from Abilene to Anson stopped for fuel and had lunch. Beck and her Mom stopped by so we went for a ride. Her Mom hasn't been out for a while, first ride in the coach, it was a great time. She was like a little kid in a candy store!
She (Dreamscape) purrred all the way out and back. Full of fuel, ready to head out on Thursday morning to TBR!
Looks like dinner with Clifford and Sonja at Cracker Barrel tonight! Life is good!
Paul
