Post by: bcaddel on September 13, 2009, 04:29:33 PM
Has anyone used one of these RV Covers? How long do they last?

BC I had one when I had a S&S , It worked ok but was kind of a pain to put on . Mine did not have acess to the door which was side entry. We lived in wyo and the wind blew most of the winter ,and my big concern was rubbing the corners. Ive thought about getting one for the Eagle but it has a high $ paint job and I think I'll just keep a good wax job on it . anyway that's my 2 cents

Eagle Andy
My paint job is over 10 years old and definately not at the level of yours (nice looking eagle you have). We spend the week-end polishing the metal and I am thinking any rain will put water spots all over it wasting all that work, so we are talking about how to keep the rain plus sun off of it.

Thanks for your 2ยข

That will do the trick Bob I really think there worth the money. And I should get one or build a bus barn lol I think the cover would be a lot cheaper lol  8)

I don't know about that cover, but I put a cover on mine and when I took it off, it took a lot of time to buff out the scratches and I thought it was smooth enough not to scratch, real disapointing.

Ray
Did you get scratching on the metal or paint (or both)? Was your cover made for RV's?

Thanks
Bob

Just light scratching in the paint, just enough to show if you didn't take care of it
