According to the Farmer's Almanac it looks like it is going to be bitterly cold winter for you guys in the U.P., and many other in the Midwest. Guess I better start cutting firewood. :'(

The winters up here are pretty brutal even on a mild one, especially for an old guy.
I know a solution to that............Move to a warmer climate! ::)
Come on down to TX, AZ, NM and anywhere below, you won't be disappointed!
Now don't get me wrong, it can get cold, but it doesn't last for 4 or 5 months and you can always find a way to warm up! ;D
Great idea Paul,
Actually I think about it a lot, especially during the long winter months. We have traveled to Texas a few times and love the Galveston area, well, before the last hurricane anyway. Also loved camping on the beach on North Padre Island. Great times in San Antonio too. Heck, it's all great, especially in the winter. But I do like the Michigan spring and summers. I would like the fall too if I didn't know that winter was following. Can't have it all.
How many busnuts travel south for the winter months?
John
We are originally from Wa. but are now technically Az. residents. We come to Wa. so i can work during the summers and then we head back to Az. for the rest of the year. ;D
It won't matter what the temperature is outside for Cody if he keeps talking so mean about Libby. Even in South FL it can be icy inside a bus with an irate female. If you don't believe it just ask Dallas. ;D
If anyone needs me I'll be sitting over there lol.

Cody,
Keep it up.
As long as there paying attention to you, I can still slip through unnoticed...... ;D

Marilyn and I would love to spend a month this winter in the south, FL or TX perhaps, if we could find an affordable trailer park space or campground. Can't afford a KOA for that lenth of time. Any suggestions?? THANKS!!
Dennis
I love cold cold winter weather and snow. Wouldn't trade it for the world....for the few days I visit it every year.
Still luv ya,
John
We are staying at Buck Creek RV Park, monthly rate is $280 plus elec., 15/30/50 amp service, 100' pull through site, laundry facilities with showers. There is no pool, I don't have time for one anyway! It's quite, about 1/4 mile north of I-20, very easy on/off. http://www.campingfriend.com/BuckCreekRVPark/ (http://www.campingfriend.com/BuckCreekRVPark/)
Just a thought.

Dennis,
Ya'll can come down to our place, and enjoy Bussin' 10 while ya'll are here. Our rates are real reasonable, just ask Cody. Jack
Dennis, you won't find a nicer place with great people, reasonable rates and warm, did I mention warm weather. Jack and Paula have a wonderful back yard that comes complete with friends stopping over with their buses for a day or two from time to time, lots of things going on, a person could run to a rally or a bluegrass fest every weekend in florida if they wanted too. I spent the winter of my dreams there, and hopefully can do it again, it was so nice to be surounded by friends and warm with palm trees other tropical stuff around.
Dallas and I are in Franklin, TX. We manage a campground here. It is small, in a small town but nice and quiet. We can always find a spot for a busnut to park.
will someone just adopt me, particularly if your from a warm climate!! Check our temps out throughout the winter, and that means from Nov to April, the rest of the time we have spring and fall. Well for the exception of this week-end , we are having summer this week-end, some freek thing I guess.
I understand what your saying, last year summer came early, it was on a wednesday.
Cody,
It never gets cold here, never ever, but you'd have to leave the bus at home.

Texas is too far for me , I just want to get south as fast as I can. I've been arranging the bus for the trip and stay in Yuma . I usually stay about 4 months and make it home for some of the cool spring weather before it gets too hot in Yuma. Jerry
The coldest day working on the bus, is still better than the warmest day at work!
I'm retired lol, I don't even remember breakfast much less my last day at work (november 26th 2000) lol, I do remember the thermometer hitting -47F at 3AM last febuarry tho lol.

. . .so much for "global warming" . . !
stats say 9 consecutive months below average here
Depends on which side of the Equator you are on too! ;D
Global Warming, yeah right, I don't buy it. Oooops!
