I need to remove this, for the rest of the unit was taken out several years ago. There is a electrical (small) box wired to it.
Question is, can you cut the wires to this, and secondly will it cause any problems with the rest of the bus electrical system?
I have seen in pictures of other post that everything in that area has been removed!

I just removed my AC compressor. You need to properly terminate the wires, or remove them all the way to their source, or down the road you'll be chasing gremlins. I'm keeping the road heat system, and it's wiring has some commonality with the road AC, so I have to be careful. You could just get some heatshrink and isolate the end of each wire, then tape them all together and out of harms way.
You can use some of the wires for other things, if you properly release them from their previous purpose. It's kind of handy to have wires from the front to the back of the bus, on the proper terminal studs, for use with other projects.

Just be very careful removing wires!!!
One day I was confidently tracing wire (very carefully), and disconnecting them (they were used for the AC). I then went to start, the bus, and it nothing happened. It turns out that I disconnect a little signal wire to the transmission.
That said. Be careful!
I wire nutted most of the wires off.
God bless,
John
Bevens6,
I like your idea about using some of the wires in the future, Thanks!!!!
John316, I had no idea that if cut , it would possibly cause problems with the starting system. For what "LITTLE"
I know about buses I sometimes ask myself WHAT WAS I THINKING WHEN I BOUGHT MY BUS!
Thank you for your impute.

Steve,
It won't affect it if you disconnect the right wires. The problem was that I disconnected the wrong wires, and I panicked for a while! MCI tech support helped me out there ;D.
I wire nutted the wires off, and I have more to do. I would think that wire nutting them would be okay for you. For me tracing (even with a toner and meter) took a long time.
God bless,
John
