I have a 7 way plug on my bus for trailers. My brother has a trailer that I want to use, but it has backup lights, plus the backup lights disable the surge brake in reverse. (I have no plans to ever back the trailer, but just in case.)
What pin is normally used for backup lights on a 7 way plug? The wiring diagrams I can find for a 7 way don't show backup lights.
Here is a pretty good wiring diagram; I would use the auxiliary for B/U lights.

On my Airstream, the backup lights are the center pin.
I'd verify with a VOM first.
Brian,
You should start with your brothers trailer and a VOM or trace them out. Find out he has it wired and just do it the same on your plug so it doesn't get him swearing when he gets the trailer back.
The logical answer for this is like the guys stated, but I have seen some different aproaches to electrical more than once and if someone has it all working for them and I borrow it and wire it properly, they don't always appreciate it.
Keep your 7 accessable and you can always juggle a wire or two if you have issues later.
