I won't be at Myrtle Beach, but if you find yourself around Charlotte, NC, and need a place to throw out the anchor, com'n down!  NO reservations neccessary!
Free 30 A and water!
I'm about 15 minutes off of I 485, exit 52, South of Charlotte....as long as you don't do it at rush hour!  ;)
About 5 minutes from Hwy 74 East to Myrtle Beach.

I'm about an hour from Charleston straight up I26. You're welcome to stopover. No hookups yet though. In Chraleston check out James Island County Park. Nice place to hang an awning for a bit.

We stayed at James Island County park and also the Myrtle Beach, Edisto, And Hunting Island State parks. Huntington beach state park has some interesting going-ons also.  You'll also be around in time for Kyle's Non-rally up here on the other end of the state.

Francis marion state park has some beautiful sites if you want away from it all and don't mind boondocking.

The sites at the fire tower are nice and lonesome.

Yep.  Interstate almost all the way.   Even the non-interstate isn't a bad ride either.  Hwy 11 is good until you get to 276 (?)...then it gets a little narrower.
I'll bet Ned could zip right up past Ceasars Head in his 'sports-bus.'   ;)
I-26 would take you back into Virginia?  A little westward maybe...
When is Kyle's Non-Rally? We're planning on attending.

Stayed at Hunting Island State Park, SC at the end of July one year.
Got to wach the park service open up turtle nests that had hatched out days earlier to see if there were turtles left.  There were quite a few!  We got to watch them going out to the sea!
One little girl in a white shirt kept moving around and this one turtle kept following her.  It turns out they are looking for the 'light' from the seting sun that reflects back to the east and follow it.  They asked the little girl to wade out oin the water and the turtle followed her!

I've been called worse, no worries.   You need to make reservations online for the state park campgrounds
http://www.southcarolinaparks.com/camp/camp-main.aspx (http://www.southcarolinaparks.com/camp/camp-main.aspx)- no flash lights on the beach at night!!

James island only takes reservations a couple days in advance so you may want to be flexible  not to mention hurricane season will be peaking(bring surf board ;D)

It is early for an in depth announcement & invite but we will be holding an "Eagles Rally" there in March of 2010. All will be invited. It will be a good time!

Hi Yo watch your cooler there in Ocean Lakes. The local teenagers call it free beer campground. And the security guards want to know nothing about it. They actually act like it has never happened before. Which I know it did just the week before I went. Just to give you the heads up.
