Title: Smartwheel connections
Post by: centrix29 on July 31, 2009, 06:49:04 AM
Hi all,

I was lucky enough to buy a new Smartwheel steering wheel on Ebay for 55$.  Folks at MCI tell me it's worth 550$.  The only thing is that I don't know how to connect it.  I'd like to use it to control my new King Control cruise.  I was told you need some kind of wheel.

Could someone clarify that for me?  It would be a lot of fun to be able to combine the both.

Thanks!

Pat ;)

Pat that is great! In fact, I will help you and your bus project out a little. I will "kindly" "help" you sell your new steering wheel for 75 ;D ;D ;D. That way you can have more money to build your bus with ;D ;D ;D

Really though that is a great deal. We could use one of those, and I think that the cruise would work on it too since we have a S60.

Clifford, I haven't gotten the EHP yet. Is it shipped?

God bless,

John

Aaaaawwwww, I am sorry Clifford. If you would have told me that they were so far away, I think I could have probably found you closer ones. I do owe you ;D ;D ;D. Really though, I thought the ones that I sent you in relation to the address that you gave me, were pretty close...Hmmmmm....I wonder what happened.

Again, I am sorry that it was such a hassle for you. You are probably still cooling off.

Let me know about the wheel...

God bless,

John

Most smart wheels have a multiplexing control box that goes with it.  The controls on the wheel just produce a tone that is picked up by the multiplexing controller and then the controller figures out which circuit to activate.  Good Luck, TomC
