OK it's been ages since we retired unit #707 from our fleet because of a broken engine frame.
I never got the bus back in the shop over the pit to take pictures until yesterday when I was pulling the engine!
So here are some pics of the damage.

hair line crack in rail!
Wow! Make the few busted vertical and horizontals in mine look like child's play. What are your plans?

Anyway the engine is out and tomorrow we'll steam clean engine bay to reinspect to see if we'll repair or scrap it!
The engine only has 90,000 miles on it. It is a remaned engine dad & I put in this bus ourselves.
It will now go into #727 which is in Chattanooga with a bad head, and is unknown how many miles that engine has on it since any major work. We bought the bus used and were told when we bought it that "as far as I know it's probably been 300,000-350,000 miles since it had any work done on it!" So we feel it's time! ;D BK ;D
A little clean up, some duct tape and poof, good as new lol.
