Hello everyone,
I rented my bus to 2 ladies with 4 kids. They drove today from Laughlin up to the Meteor Crater off of exit 233 on I-40. The engine (6v92) got real hot while climbing the grade with the AC on, etc.. Now it's not starting. They are freaking out on me and I don't know how to help them. Any suggestions??
Hi Jimmy,
The overheat safty most likely shut the engine down.. Some time to cool will do the trick.
Secondly, in pannic,, they may have left the trans in drive when it stalled and the engine won't start until they put it in nutral.
Hope this helps

Northern Az Diesel is about the only choice you have there 928-607-7447 I hope for your sake the engine is a DDEC. at a 115 degrees here today it is very easy to lose a engine on a long climb even with a shut down
Can you tell us what model of bus you have
I live in Mohave Valley about 200 miles from Flag if you can not find help I could go check for you good luck
Thank you guys, I got them to be able to get the bus running again and they are on the road. I don't know how long this is going to be the case but I will keep you posted. The bus is a 1993 MCI 102C3.
Thanks again!!!!
Jim
Jim, your lucky that is a DDEC in that model it will protect the engine it shuts down at 220 degrees good luck
