Title: Toad Brake Choices
Post by: jok on July 15, 2009, 10:09:50 PM
I have towed our Suburban over 10,000 miles and Grand Cherokee over 15,000 miles behind our 40' Prevost with no problems, but I am finally ready to purchase supplemental brakes. We are heading to Idaho, Yellowstone and Glacier National Park where the extra breaking may come in handy.  :) The SMI Air Force One looks like a good system but I am leaning toward something I can easily move between the Suburban and the Jeep. I read that Nick had problems with the BrakeBuddy a while back. What about the Add-A-Brake unit that Camping World sells. Any other thoughts.

I would like to buying and install a system while on the road since I can't get one before we leave Friday.

Thanks,
John

Hi John,

I ended up with the Roadmaster Even Brake.  Like you, I switch it between the H2 and the Yukon very easily.

It works very well and does as it's suppose to do. The only complaint I have is where to store it when we reach

our destination.. It's very light but, bulky.. It takes about 2 hours to install the wireing and your ready..

Good Luck
