I need to buy a 24 volt alarm buzzer and a couple of those little bolt on diodes that MCI uses. Does anyone have a recommend place to patronize, maybe even in Ontario CAN?
Thanks very much, Brian
Diodes can be ordered from Digikey.com or jameco.com. Might find a buzzer at one of those places, too. Check with local truck shops, also. The older trucks were 24 volts
and some will still carry parts. I found a 24v flasher at an International dealer.
Brian,
I have found we who live on the north side of the border sometimes can buy just as cheaply from MCI. Once you pay duty and brokerage fees on some of the parts coming from the states the seemingly "good" price evaporates pretty quickly. Also, there is a major MCI parts warehouse at Bowmanville, just off 401. Might be worth a try.

Brian, if You would like to change the buzzer to a different sound there are various small warning devices available. You can get them in various loudness and tone patterns. Sonalert is one that I have used for different alerts on industrial machinery. Wide range of voltages and sold as surplus by a lot of electronics dealers. Try any industrial catalogue. Regards John
Brian,
I purchased some of our buzzers and beepers from All Electronics www.allelectronics.com They are an electronics surplus store, so there inventory varies. We have separate tones for each alarm. Some are buzzers and some are beepers (constant and intermittent tones). When I turn on my master switch and hit the alarm test switch I have a bunch of Flashing LED warning lights as well as audible buzzers & beepers going off, but I know all are working prior to starting the engine.
