Title: Need speedometer info - all bus makes/models - for Cruise Control Project
Post by: RTS/Daytona on June 29, 2009, 09:24:20 AM
Hi

I'm trying to get as much info about Bus speedometer as possible

My goal is to deveolpe a LESS EXPENSE alternative to the $199 Rostra Cruise Control I sell

so what I need is

Bus make/model/year - speedo type (cable or wheel/tranny pulser) - if wheel pulser - how many studs/notches on drum -

I know RTS's have 50 or is it 60 notches and some GMC have 4 bolt heads / some have 2

the more data I get - the more universal I can make the kits
Thanks in advance guys

Pete,
Our MC-8 has a sensor on the left front wheel (Magnetic) and 4 bolts in the edge of the brake drum. This sends a signal to a Dixson Speedometer (490 Tire RPM).  Jack
