Title: Access to fuel tank
Post by: beatsworkin on June 27, 2009, 06:11:30 PM
I think I need to have a dedicated fuel line for my Onan 7.5 generator. Now it is teed off the water separator of the 871.  The Question is where is there a access to the fuel tank to install a dedecated line?

The 05 has a access panel on the passengers side tank but most have been covered during conversions. You can access the drivers side or passengers side by removing the boggie tire and have plenty of room to make a tap in the top.
I installed mine on the drivers side because it was the shortest distance to the generator     good luck

Thanks luvrbus for responding.

I do see two pipe plugs in the top of the tank on the pass side but I don"t see how there would be.  enuff height to get a tube into that hole.  Any ideas.
