I talked to Chad a couple of months ago about writing an article about my folks bus "COZY" and he indicated there could be an interesting article there, so I wrote up a story about purchasing COZY from my folks and sent it in. I have told my 80 year old dad that it might possibly be in Bus Conversion Magazine and asked him how that would make him feel.

You could see the pride swell up in him as he thought about it. His memory isn't what it used to be but he can remember reading Bus Conversion Magazine back in the early 90's when he was converting COZY and he never imagined his bus might actually be in the magazine. Now for him to see it made the cover and "Miss July" he will probably be more proud of that than he was when when I was born, even though I was his first born. Now that I think about it, he most likely put a lot more of himself into doing the complete conversion than he did into me being born....

I just received my electronic version of the July issue of BCM tonight here in Reno Nevada. It is almost midnight back in Plainview Texas where dad lives, but I am expecting to get a call from Dad in the morning (I sent him a copy of the article and pictures). I can hardly wait to hear his voice telling me his bus is in Bus Coversion Magazine. I don't currently have a subscription to the print copy of the magazine, but as soon as they get it set up to take internet payment I will definitely become a subscriber. There will be one proud Papa in Texas when the sun comes up on this Saturday Morning.

As a side note, the 7,500 trip we just finished, went without a single issue. I was definitely expected some problems but old COZY did her job without a hitch. Here is a link to our blog we maintained during the trip.
