The shop where i dropped my mc9 off to get looked at had a MCI 102A3 for 10k, freshly rebuilt engine, started right up and sounded wonderfull. Gonna look at some more options, but i think i'm in love! hahaha
The "C3" is the model that doesn't need the roof raised. :o Six grand to have that done and all recommend it as your very first step.....always. :-\ ;D But who knu? ;D
The 102C3 doesnt need a roof raise? (I just researched the specs, it says it is the same height as all the other coaches.....is the floor of the interior lower?)
If I were to convert another bus, without a shadow of doubt, I would choose the MCI 102C3. It has 6'10" head room with huge windows and huge under storage. Plus it is 102" wide. Good Luck, TomC
!min,
I heard that many times over the years. The A and B need a roof raise but the C doesn't. I've never been in any of them but I notice the C seems to command a better price. You can rest assured that if I were wrong, people here would have come down on me like a ton of bricks....and justifiably but only to set the record straight. Even being wrong stirs discussion that is beneficial to many. Surely the individual in error profits if he maintains an open mind. I am philosophysing here now and it is about my motives for opening my mouth when in fact I don't have six years in residence in a 102C3 or a degree in Pubic Transportation. LOL many times.
I would be interested in learning more about those specs that you looked at that didn't lead you to believe that there was a difference. Size does matter. :P;D ;D ;D Ask any....well, anybody. :-X
I agree that the C3 is a absolutely grand bus and I covet it personally. Hope the Eagle guys aren't offended. I really like them, too. 8) ::) ;D ;D ;D

It all depends on how tall ya are, and how well you will insulate. We raised our DL3 eight inches. We did that so we could insulate the floor and ceiling. Technically we wouldn't have maybe had to raise the roof, but we needed the extra head room.
God bless,
John
