Hello,
I got this diesel school bus. It is a IHV and it won't start.
Getting to the starter is really difficult.
But I can do it. I can remove the bottom two bolts. They are 3/4" hex heads.
However I don't know how to get to the top bolt.
I tried the obstruction "half-moon" wrench but it didn't work....
any ideas? Are there other bolts to remove? I see some 3/4" bolts attached to the frame, but not sure if those will help?
I doubt if the service manual will tell me anything more?
I've been trying to get this done for awhile now. I don't think I can afford a tow, and/or repair by a shop.

Hey Mike....is there any way you can post pics of your situation?
Some of the forum member can be very creative with the proper visual input. ;D

If you can get at the end of the starter then several extensions strung together on a socket might work. A couple of extensions put together is usually better than a single long extension because they will flex more and let you get into harder to get at spots.
