Thanks for the wishes! Just finished some birthday cake with the family and had lots for fun, love and laughter. Missed the bus time, though, as it's a bit of a weekend hobby until school's out in another week. One of the kids noticed that 3 of us are multiples of 11 this year; not sure I want to admit which multiple fits my new age...

Edit: [gotta fix the spellin' so I look sharp for the age]

One day late but lookin' good Skip.  Now you need to mount a compass, set it for about 350 degrees magnetic and follow it for about 3 hours, then switch to 260 magnetic and follow that heading for another 3 or 4 hours.  You do that and we'll bake you a cake or pour you a wobbly pop when you arrive or maybe even both.

Thanks guys,

   Bob,
Your just down the street.......+7 hrs(drop in the bucket), haven't been through Calgary in years. I gladly would
love to get out of here for a while............after I fix my air issue's.....riding on the bumpers with 150# on the back gauge and
90# on the front is not real condusive for road travel. The thought of even blocking it up to fix it raises the hairs on my neck.   Saw a D9 come off it's blocks once, the poor concrete didn't have a chance.

I hear you about not liking being underneath these beasts.  Go to the lumber yard and buy 5 pieces of 2x10 - 8 feet and build you a pair of these:

(https://busconversionmagazine.com/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.rjevans.org%2FMiscPhotos%2FIMG_0937.JPG&hash=f008c08070e2ce6a928339a5c227a260a12d38b5)

I used 5 pieces of 2x10 with a 4' slope and 2' flat and 2x4 filler to keep the weight down but they're still heavy suckers (overall 9 layers thick and 6 feet long).  They are glued with epoxy and I had to cut down the stoppers because the easiest way to use them is to put them ahead of the duals but they wouldn't fit with higher stopper blocks.  I'd have built them a little different if I could have found 2x10 rough but all the local sawmills are shutting down and the only one close by that was still operating is run by a grade A asshole so I ran to Rona instead.

Never mind. The little smiley guy suggests my sense of humor is a little too obtuse. (It was just an observation of the apparent wet patch on the side of your ramp, nothing more.)

Anyway, thanks for the picture; I've been looking for ideas in planning a set of my own.
