Title: articulated Eagle....no kidding
Post by: JohnEd on June 15, 2009, 02:03:46 AM
I saw a Eagle that had its engine mounted in the front of the bus and had one set of duals for the drive.  The rear half had what appeared to be two sets of duals but turned out to be two singles like bogie's.  Wheels were right up next to the outside surface.  Engine compartment was "empty".  This old girl was red and had gold aluminum sides like the silver stuff.  Had two of those high front windows.

I got no clue but am told it is for sale.  Anybody know what this is or have info?

I will get pics to post as it is certainly a curiosity.

Thanks,

John

Was this in the Houston area?
There was a post recently concening this rustpit...oop's I meant Eagle! ;D
(For the record...I love the Eagle's...I am still amazed that we kicked a member off for disparaging them a few months ago!)

John, I think the bus was sold a year back maybe the deal went south he was asking 6500.00 he had the old MAN diesel engine that came from the bus so I was told.
I looked at the bus but couldn't figure how to get the idea past the wife and back to AZ  LOL

good luck

Jack,

No!  It is located in Eugene Or.

Your kidding about that, right?  "He doesn't like my bus.  Wah!"  That sort of thing?  I read a post about "don't put other people's hardware down" but I thought that was only half serious.  Who was it that was banished from the board? ??? ???

Luvr,

If you can slip an Eagle past your wife, well....you are my smuggler of choice. ;D 8)  Loved you post.

Now if either of you are offended by this post or or have something stuck in your craw >:( or up your,,,,, please contact me OFF the board :P.  I have posted my PM and EMAIL, Phone number and HOME ADDRESS so please be considerate of the others on the board that might not be interested in our personal "stuff", if we have any, and KISS. :-*  I hope and pray that you both will see the humor in this paragraph and take none of it seriously.  Sorta! ;D ;D ;D

JohnEd,

I saw nothing offensive, on the contrary I feel great that Eagles can be discussed and not have to worry about "You Know" ( Rust keeping one awake at night).  ;D I find your posts enlightening and entertaining!

Bring 'em on,

Paul
