What do ya mean no drooling? I just slobbered all over myself! 8)
What a sweet sound in a very sweet Eagle. You ought to see the bathroom, a clawfoot tub with shower. My wife would love that! Shhh, don't say anything!
Last I saw the 7 the motor/engine was in pieces, now look at her! She's getting ready to spread her wings and fly!
Good Job Clifford!

Would make a nice screen saver no?(BCO's Idea ;D)
so nice to hear that turbo whine ;)
Here's the tub

Yip, that's the one. I just showed it to Becky and she went to get the tapemeasure.......Thanks Buddy! :P

Sounds great-just like what a 8V-92TA should sound like-including the turbocharger sounds! I wanted to exchange my 8V-71 in my bus but found out you can't use the 8V-92TA in a V drive because of the large vibration dampner on the front is in the way of the motor mounts. Turboing my 8V-71 was second best. Good Luck, TomC
Van,
That is awesome. There is a bulged pipe at the outlet of the turbo. Is that the muffler? From the pic it seems the ex just goes out the side and there is no muffler. It sounds TERRIFIC!
Did LUVR do the rebuild?
What trans do you have?
Top speed?
What is your hope for a max mpg driving it for economy?
Thanks for sharing you film. You must be one happy camper.
John
Sweeeeet!!!!
Looks great and sounds even better. But where is the black smoke, I thought all detroit's put out black smoke.
Maybe just "HUGGY" puts out enough for everyone
uncle ned
Ned ,thought it was just the under powered engines LOL :D,thanks for watching
Thanks JE,I wish it were my motor.the bus belongs to a Jim Smith, and a very one of a kind Eagle 07.It was an honor to be able to skin my knuckles and scar my fore arms, and do it with a smile.
I guess my brain turns to mush when ever I hear a Wiz bang fire up,oh boy!
John, the bulge you see is the resonator ,the rest is plumbed directly through the side of the custom built rear bumper, and man! you can really hear the turbo spool up! :)
Nope,my engine swap is coming next(as soon as every one recuperates from this install)and we'll be swapping out my tired ol 6V92 with a fresh one to be cost effective in these hard times (poor man with a poor dollar and all that :D).I don't have all the skinny on that 8V92,I'll let LUVRBUS elaborate on the juicy details(I'm droolin agin).Bus was headed out to day for a test run after they get the air bled from the power steer system.I will be posting video of my engine swap also, stay tuned.... :)
Van,
Thank you. Please do post the "journey" that you will take with your 6V92.
John
I thought I'd suppressed my hotrod tendencies well enough. I watched and realized my pulse rate was up, breathing rapid and shallow, and fine tremors in my hands. Thanks, now I need a better 'fix'!
That video make me realize why my Dad always smiled when he talked about a 'Jimmy' wound tight. =)
HooYA!
