Anybody know if this will fit a 1974 Buffalo with 8V71 ?

It's brand new out of box old stock.

Larry,

I went into the Donaldson website and tried to look up the muffler to get some specs to see if it would replace the stock muffler. Couldn't find 10026229, but you said it was an old p/n.

Do you plan on putting it into "doghouse"? If that is the case I would think it needs to be a GMC replacement unit. Not to say just about anything can be fabricated.

I had to go by memory as I was about 50 miles from my bus and stopped at a swap meet and found the muffler it has the same kind of mount and looked a bit smaller is why I asked.

I went to Donaldson web site before I asked on here was hoping somebody would recall or be able to look at old books and see.

But I'm on the road again in the bus and hauling the GoldWing behind.
