Thought I'd share some of the fun I have had over the past week. I went to the Eagle Rally the first of this month, about a 800 mile trip for me. I got 8.9mpg and used 7 gal of oil. not good. We are going to Niagra Falls july 10 so I needed to get this fixed. Pulled the engine out last week, took a little over 3 hours. It was the rear seal, so got a sleeve and new seal and a pan gasket which was leaking a little bit. While I had the engine out I checked the play in my turbo, lots of play!!Anyone know where I can get a rebuilt one for a fair price? Anyway, got everything back together today and ran the bus for about 30 minutes and No LEAKS. I'm HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY!!!!!! I did take a few pictures so I'm going to try to post them. Was a good week.

I would recommend buying a center cartridge vs rebuilding the unit. The seal area usually is just worn out. In the long run for your own service I recommend buying a new cartridge.
Zeroclearance,
I had thought about that, but my turbo has no tag. It just has AIResearch With a no# M 11 and some letters ACD. I don't know what to ask for.
Richard
It's a Garrett. 8V92 with your rated HP. It's fairly simple.
If you have the engine serial number Detroit will give you the correct part number. Then you can call any good turbo shop and they can provide you with a new Garrett cartridge.
Thanks Zeroclearance,
I'll get all over that today. Need to get er done.
Richard
Hey Richard, Glad to hear you got the oil leak fixed! Good luck on fixing your turbo, I don't have that problem because I don't have one! ::)

Hi Paul,
I finally got a picture posted. Thanks for photobucket. My brother-in-law(William) helped me get the pictures on here also. By the way, are you going to the Jersey Rally before TBR. We've been thinking about doing them both.
Richard
Richard, it will be a model TV 7511 or the TV8511 95% sure it will be the TV8511 if over 400 hp. There is a large turbo shop in Waco I will try and find his number for you I bought from him before very nice guy and reasonable also good luck
