I have my cooler/fan setup installed and all I need is the lines. I'll be coming off of the engine/tranny cooler. I was wondering what the outlets would be as far as size or what they are called. As far as I can tell they would be like these in the 1" size.

Thanks in advance. Later
I am pretty sure the hoses we had made used the 1" JIC fittings but I can't confirm this (I can't find the receipts for that project). We had our hoses made from hydraulic hose and fittings. This was probably overkill since my Allison 740 manual says main line pressure is around 175 PSI and the hydraulic hose is rated for 3000 PSI, but peace of mind while driving is priceless LOL. Jack
Thanks Jack. I knew you would probably know. I basically set my cooler up much the same as you did but made a seperate frame to hang the cooler on with hinges to allow easy access to that side of the engine rather than using the door. I searched and searched for stainless screens to open up both side doors for more airflow and found some 19 x 19 donut screens on Ebay that worked perfect!! :D :D

I'll have to post some pics one of these days. Thanks for your help and knowledge. Later
I like the look of the SS screens. I wish I had throught of that. Jack
If this is an auxiliary cooler to augment the factory shell cooler, I plumbed mine so that the auxiliary cooler got the hot oil first, taking alot of the heat out of the fluid before hitting the shell cooler-hence also taking alot of strain away from the radiator. Good Luck, TomC
That's the plan Tom. Hopefully we can get this 7 to run cooler. Thanks

CS,
Now thats thinking outside the box.
I really like finding and searching for things to use in my applications like that....great find..
And really enjoy reading of others finds.

Actually finding those screens was just a matter of searching stainless screens on Ebay. From building one off bikes and always doing weird things I have learned how to adapt thanks to the internet!! Nothing intelligent on my part. Just a bit of searching. They really do fit inside those rear MCI doors nicely and took very little time. That and the price was right!! Thanks
