Title: Finally fixed the short in my tailight wiring - Problem was simple
Post by: belfert on May 16, 2009, 04:24:42 PM
My father and I spent the afternoon poring over the wiring diagrams of my bus to diagnose the short in my taillight wiring.  Dinas have the craziest wiring schemes I have ever seen!  Half of the marker lights and the front parking lights are on one circuit and the other marker lights and taillights are another another circuit controlled by the same switch.

Anyhow, we finally figured out how to disconnect various parts of the circuit with the issue and found the problem.  One of the marker lights was shorted out!  Pretty simple fix.  We can't see what is wrong with the marker light other than it was packed full of debris between the bus and the housing.  There was also a inline splice behind the light because apparently the light was replaced once.

Nice to at least have full working lights again.
