Will there be a B.E.A.R. 2009? Anybody know about this?
Linda
Hi Linda,
Last year there seemed to be no interest thus I haven't given it much thought.
It doesn't take much to try again :)
There is an Eagle rally in Ennis mt. July 4 time frame I thought I might just visit in ::)
There are a few that are coming through montana earlier than that.
I am up and open for ideas. Let me know what you are thinking.

No particular thoughts on it.... I was only asking because we're going "out west" this summer and I was trying to make a note of anything that might be of interest in case we happen to be in the right place at the right time. Pretty loose, I know, but that's how we travel -- just wandering around.
Linda how is Kirby doing and how is his newest motor swap doing? Haven't heard anything about him, it, or you! Been doing any pickin? Not much pickin in these parts this time of year. Seems pickers are scared of the heat! Weather, not the cops although some could be scared that way too!
Take care and tell Kirby hey!

Skip, Come and join us at Ennis. We had a couple of MCI's in Breaux Bridge. Even in the bad rain storm not to much discoloration to the other brands ;D
See you in Ennis Wayne
Linda,
Rumor has it that the National Folkfestaval will be in Butte again this year.
Don't know if it is worth it ....
If you happen to be through here the light is alway on :)
And I could allways use a pickin lesson ;D

Ace, the engine re-build is done... it only took 4 months for him to do it all by himself. Kirby had a spare 8-71 stashed away at a friend's house, so he rebuilt that. The one that tore up on our way to Bussin' 2009 was toast, but we couldn't find anyone close by that needed a large boat anchor, so it's gone to the scrap yard. The source of that problem was the Woodruff key on the cam shaft... the key wallowed around somehow and enlarged the key slot, and when the key finally let loose, well... :(
As for pickin', I've been going to the weekly bluegrass jam a few miles from the house, and we had a couple jams at our house. But it's no fun when it gets hot... sweaty arms on the instruments and all, LOL. We'll soon be on the road again, looking for cooler weather!
Skip, if we are in the area we'll give a holler. That Folk Festival looks interesting... found info on the Internet about it.
