I have my bus up for sale. An interested party has contacted me about adding a lift for them to access the bus. Not a wheelchair lift but just thier person. Has anyone got any experience with this or know some websites??

I saw something on the internet yesterday where they were lifting a lady out of her wheelchair and into an RV with a sling type thing...I'll go back and see if I can find it.
Jim,
I saw a lift several years ago that was made from an electric slide in camper lift and a small platform. The lift was activated by a switch that lowered the platfrom into the step well, the person sat down and the lift was activated to lift them to the inside of the coach. It was installed just inside the rear edge of the door opening.
Jerry designed a boom that was installed inside his mini-van and swung out the side door when open. I think it may be in the bay of his bus now. Might be able to get some ideas? Jack
I saw one at the Perry FMCA Rally called Travel Lift Chair. Cost $2995.00 and is 110 volt electric. Web site is www.travelliftchair.com Also found one in 2007 called Coach Lift. Web site is www.coachlift.com
Libby and I have discussed this idea several times, I'd like a lift, she wants to see me on a catapult, we're really not making any headway on our ideas.
I found that the Coach lift cost $4200.00 and up in 2007. It also has a weight limit of 215 pounds without modification and is a 12 volt version. I was told the 120 volt version is stronger. Larry 4106-038
Not sure exactly what you need to accomplish, but I have a 12v. lift that handles either 600 # or 900 #. It is on wheels and was used a little in the WalMart bakeries and moved and lifted a huge mixing barrel. I bought it to install in my double decker Neoplan. Since I had to change bus plans and sold (gave away) the Neo I still have the lift. If you are interested in photos, descriptions, etc. if it would work then contact me at my email - barnstormer36 at the yahoo place.

Thanks guy's, but I misunderstood. She does not need a lift to get her person in bus, she is somewhat mobile. She wants to store the chair in the bus. Things do not look promising. Will update as I get more info. JIm
