Start out from Princeton B.C. going to Arizona, Woo Hoo. Did'nt get to far. How about 250 miles. Yup started up, go to high idle for a bit then BANG, then coolant out the pipe, then shut down, then vacation over. Dropped a valve in #8 seized the kit pulled the cap off the rod ,bent to crap that rod and wounded #4 rod and liner. # 8 is totally destroyed, crank took a licken, sad days indeed. Have pulled engine out, now time for extensive cleanup on engine bay. All hoses back there to be changed, coach a/c compressor to leave now. Found an engine, now get this, for $500.00, rebuilt. My luck is better now, this engine was rebuilt for the owners compressor (he was a driller, now retired) and it went to work for 128 hrs. then the compressor failed and the engine was put away. Going to fire it up tomorrow,I will have to get some pictures posted some time in future. Gord aka harpold700 3. BTW I run a 72 MC7 8v71 standard.
Definitely no fun to deal with what you have to. However, definitely a blessing to find such a low hour engine for such a stellar price! What kind of horsepower is the "new" engine?

Not to sure, has N65's in it, and clean as a whistle under the covers.

Make sure it turns the same direction as the one in your coach. If he got it out of a GMC it spins the other way.
We will cross our fingers for you. All the Best, M&C
