Title: MC5 airbag pressure
Post by: viento1 on April 29, 2009, 09:27:33 AM
Hey guys, I am leaving in 5 hours for a last minute trip. The previous owner replaced the auto valves with manual valves and guages. The PO used 70 lbs in the front and 80 lbs in the back. It seems like a rough ride... thoughts?

We run 60 to 80 lbs in our mc7 and it provides a very smooth ride.

Our MC-8 runs about 55-60 using the OEM leveling valves.  Jack

You run whatever pressure sets the ride height to spec.

Proper ride height will give you proper ride qualities, other issues excepted (shocks/bushings/plates vs beams)

Wrong ride height puts the suspension geometry out of whack, amongst other things.

happy coaching!

Buswarrior is right as usual. In order to meet the specs in the service manual on my 5C. I run 45lbs in the front 60 on the driver side rear and 65 lbs on the passenger side rear.  These #'s wont help you as your conversion is probobly much different than mine.   HTH   JIm
