Title: Bearing/Hub Tool.
Post by: johns4104s on April 23, 2009, 06:10:58 PM
I have seen the disc with the two holes that is screwed down to hold the bearing in looking like it was tightend with a hammer and chisel. Where do I buy a wrench with the two claws to tighten the bearing correctly? Do large truck places carry them?

Thanks

John

John, Try NAPA, if they don't have what you need they'll get it for you.

Good Luck,

Here is one I made from a scrap of 1" square tubing a couple big spikes (cut off) and a 7/16" nut.  All it took was a few minutes to drill 2 holes and a few tack welds to hold the pieces in place.

Here's the one I made. I used a nut from the back of a wheel stud so I'd have something to put a socket on.

Jack's looks easier.
