Title: Blower gear box
Post by: dbenck on April 18, 2009, 11:27:18 AM
Getting ready for a trip to Kansas City, KS doing check on bus. The blower gear box is low on lube, the book says  SAE 30 but there is a sticker on the blower fan that says 80W-90. Which is correct. 1984 MCI-9 ..6V92TA Thanks, David.

Hi David,
I also have an '84 6v92 and I use 80W gear oil because inside the right angle drive there are bevel gears.
The motor oil would thin out too much after a full days drive.
