Post by: johns4104s on April 14, 2009, 06:39:11 PM

I spoke with a friend with a 4104/671TA. He asked me to enquire with you guys about needing any additive in the fuel for our old Detroit's? He had talked to someone and they recommended adding oil, any new info mation on the subjet?

Thanks

John

That debate has been pretty well beat to death in the past.  The general conclusion has been that none is needed.  The ULSD actually available to the general public already has lubrication additives in it.  The ULSD used in "tests" to prove various additives is said to have been untreated ULSD which is not available to the general public.
