Title: Roads to Bristol, TN
Post by: dbenck on March 18, 2009, 09:38:11 AM
Hi all...have a chance to get 4 tickets for Bristol this weekend. Only been down south once, last year to Fort Myers, FL
Have traveled over MontEagle each way with 1984 MC9..6V92TA. Our route would be down I75 from Lexington, KY
then west on I81. Question being..is their anything wost than MontEagle to go over ? Coach has all new brakes..no Jake's.

Thanks,
David Benck

With that route all you will have is Jellico Mt before you get to the TN border.  18 wheelers use it every day.

Actually Jellico is uphill at the TN/KY border, and a gradual downhill into Knoxville.
Knoxville trafic can be a bear at the wrong time of day.
If you like musical instuments there is a neat place over on US-25 south of Clinton.  Tell me if you want more info.
