We need a bunch of buses at the MACC this year, the MACC is a bluegrass festival benefit for St Judes held each july and a long standing tradition for us. MACC stands for Musicians Against Childhood Cancer and is put on by Darrel Atkins, the best of the best in the music world donate their time to come to columbus and perform at the festival, everyone from Rhonda Vincent to JD Crowe are regulars. We've been involved in the music industry for a long time and a bunch of us are regulars there, some of the best jamming is right at our bus lol. This year the MACC has a new site on Myspace, take a few minutes to look at the pics, the videos and listen to some of the music, being centrally located in columbus ohio makes it kinda easy for most of us. http://www.myspace.com/maccbluegrassfestival check it out, it's a really good cause and a bunch of great people, if the moderators will allow this to sit in the open catagory for a day before moving it to OT it would be great, we need a great showing of the bus board there, we got a lot of pickers riight here on the board, this year it starts on july 18th.
Moderator Note: Added to event calendar.
One of the really cool things about the festival is the accessability of the musicians, at so many other concerts the country or rock stars are shielded behind layers of security and bodyguards, this isn't the case in the bluegrass industry, for the most part these musicians enjoy a good jam session as much as we enjoy meeting them and talking to them, the festival has a family type atmosphere and runs for a week, the actual stage only goes for 4 days but the jams begin and end with the buses, trailers and campers all over the park and go all day and well into the night, each year a good share of the stage performers work their way thru our campsite at one time or another, just a great bunch of guys and a good excuse for a jam.

Looks like a fabulous time, we hope someday to make it ,

Susan and I would love to go and maybe travel nose to tail with jack but after he changes his engine, I'd have to find my own way. I'm sure he's go on and leave us! ::)
Ace
while jacks not looking slide the tow bar into place and be ready for some great mileage lol
Cody if I did that he would think he had installed a 6-71 rather than the 8-71. Better not try that one! He'd get really peeved if he pulled out a fresh engine for nothing!
Ace
just tell him it needs break in time lol
