Title: Thank you Craig Shepard "Disclaimer"
Post by: Singing Land Cruiser on March 11, 2009, 07:53:27 PM
:)I would like to take this opportunity thank Craig Shepard, http://www.gumpydog.com. As I was writing on our blog about converting our MCI 102a3, I thought I needed a disclaimer. I can't write a disclaimer! So I looked on line and found a gumpydog, well Craig Shepard, http://www.gumpydog.com , he wrote a great disclaimer. Now I misread the copywrite info. But he set me straight and with a little dialog he gave me his permission to use it on our blog, http://singinglandcruiser.blogspot.com/ . Thank you again for all your help and kindness, Michael & Christi Hargis :)

I don't know much about the disclaimer because I'm not dealing with that aspect of the page but I second a thanks (again) to Craig for his work in documenting his conversion, I know it must be quite time consuming. I know that many of us use it quite a bit.
I find myself referring to his page frequently for reference and ideas (it's on my bookmark toolbar). I try not to copy his work too closely but most of it is so darn close to my needs and the way I want to do things that I'm doing much the same things with a few changes. There have been many times when I felt like I was really floundering and it was nice to refer back to his work to give me confidence again. Tearing out my floor was one time I was unsure of what I was getting into and what to expect. Most of this is flying by the seat of your pants which is why we all like it after all.

While I'm am the podium there are a few others, Brian Diehl for one who have done a great job of documenting their work for others and my hat is off to you guys, thanks for shining the light forward for the rest of us!

For other tech expertise I also thank Dallas, Nick, the cabinet guru Cody and a few others.

THANKS!

-Dave

Dave, when your dealing with a small community like the busnuts are, everyone should be helping each other and for the most part are.  Just imagine what fantastic rides we could all have if the wiring geniuses stopped all the electical gremlins and the mechanical guys made sure we were rolling trouble free, could you imagine a rally where an area was set aside that a person that was having a problem could limp his bus into and it got magically cured?  I've seen that and more, over and over, ain't it great!!!  With such a huge pool of talent here, anything that can be thought of can be done.  So many wonderful people here.

Michael,

This wasn't really necessary, but you're welcome just the same.  I hope there's conversion info on the web site you can use, too. I found your posts regarding searching for info on the web interesting, especially the parts about sites that never get completed. My site falls into that category, too. I've found it harder and harder to get my pages completed. Good intentions; lack of time.

Ahhh, Mr. Shepard, I have spent the last couple of days reading your site and in no way do you fall into that category. You Sir, are in a class by your self. I can only hope that I can come close to what you have already accomplished. All the Best, M&C
