Title: Frame and alignment shop in LA area?
Post by: Sean on March 04, 2009, 11:07:10 PM

I need to have a backup option for a shop in the Los Angeles area to do our alignment, now that the bent tag axle has been repaired.  It needs to be a shop that can handle a three-axle alignment, and preferably one that has at least seen a steerable tag.

All suggestions welcome.

Congrats on getting the A Frame fixed, that sounded like it went very well and must be a big relief to have it done.  Now it sounds like Freightliner is not the right place to have that work done, so the saga continues.

It may be the odd chance that they would work on your coach, but it mioght be worth checking at the Prevost shop in Mira Loma.  They are equiped to do three axle alignments, they did my coach several years ago. Not sure if they could or would do yours.   Great shop that does great work.  Last I checked their shop rate was around $100 an hour.

I'd second the recommendation for Prevost, Mira Loma.  We had some work done there a few years ago and they were a first class act.  They've got about 8 or 10 full hookups out back, they gave us the combi to the gate and we came and went as we pleased.  Nathan Parker was the service manager when we were there but something tells me he has since moved on.

Sean,

I called the guy yesterday, and I wrote myself an email with the info in it. Of course our server is down today, so no email :( (for now). I will post the info as soon as I get it (should be later today). The MCI service center in Los Alamitos doesn't align. The guy I talked to, out there, said that there is a shop (when I get my email I will tell you the name) near them that they send all of their alignment projects too. He said that they have seen a lot of buses, and especially entertainers. The guy at MCI said that they would do a great job with you Neoplan.

More later...

God bless,

John
