Title: Long day
Post by: Airbag on March 01, 2009, 06:58:45 PM
Started removing the red shag carpet. Only got to the modesty panel by the stairs. It was under the drivers seat and around the pedals. I thought it would be an easy job. I was WRONG again. It was glued down with some sort of adhesive backing foam that required lacquer thinner to cut. I decided to dress up the drivers station a bit by painting the steering column and seat pedestal. And I must of removed three pounds of dirt. The floor under the rug so far does not look too bad. I have either polished the trim rings around the shift lever etc.. or painted them. I will take a picture or two after I reassemble. I cringe to think what I will find farther back under the carpit.

And just when I thought I could take a nap. The air conditioner goes foowy on the house. A fan blade broke on the condesor fan. With no hope of buying a new one on Sunday I removed it went to the hanger Fabricated three new blades, riveted them on and walla it runs again.
