Post by: larryh on June 29, 2006, 04:28:21 PM
On my rear glass the big center one is it glass or some type of plastic like  lexan or??? What I'm thinking is if plastic cutting into it and place about a 20,000 btu air conditioner in there and just show out the back with a good seal

Larry,
I might have been replaced but it was originally safety glass.
Take a pin or needle or something sharp and see if it scratches.

20,000 btu hanging out the back.... Yeeeeeeeuuuchhh..

You might as well take out the glass and put sheet metal in if you are thinking about doing that...

Keep in mind also that if you plan on driving with that sticking out you will get lots of exhaust fumes and soot
coming in through the a/c housing since house units are not air-tight.

Sorry, I know that went off topic, But I really have a problem with house a/c units hanging out of an otherwise nice bus....
when parked thats one thing, temporary its Ok, But going down the road.... Aw Come on!! Looks terrible...

Looks about as good as the VENT hood on this ...sic ::) ::)
