All the windows removed are covered, everything is caulked, all the one piece of rusted framing is fixed, roof framing is in. Tomorrow or friday (will know in the morning) i will be getting it spray foamed.
also, kinda neat how it worked out, but on the drivers side when covering the 4 windows i removed, i took the aluminum interior roof panels that were inside the coach, and cut them up and they are perfect! the other side involved welding and stuff

You might want to move that kerosene can when welding.

Or if you do not want to move the can and all the other items that seem ready to ignite and cause quite a bit of excitement, you may want to have a large fire extinguisher in both the front and rear of the bus. It would be a shame to have a spark fester while you went inside to have dinner only to come back out as the fire department was using their own large red extinguisher to "control" the spread of your fire to other things in the neighborhood.

I had a work site closed down and cancelled a few years back when the Mall owners hired some welders to do some structural X-bracing. These geniuses were welding next to a spray foam insulated ceilling, no one else was on site and they did not have !1! fire extinguisher with them (they had probably sold it to pay for the spliff I saw them smoking at lunch time). Anyway they burnt the roof off and destroyed the project. I guess they didn't know spray foam was flammable.
My buddy had a cherry VW van all converted etc... small carb fire...it's gone (no extinguisher).
I have 2 Fire extinguishers aboard, always. Pretty anal about it...the one time I had a fire on my bus I had left them behind as i was in the middle of 2 jobs at once...took it for a test drive, handbrake was dragging, started a grease fire in the engine bay. Put it out with a packing blanket...since then I sure have seen a few buses that have burnt down.
I have been haunted by fires for a few years now, can't have too many fire extinguishers or smoke detectors.
What an inspiration! Please keep posting your pictures for those of us who are aspiring bus nuts.

Zub, there is nothing anal about too many fire extinguishers. I had a brake fire on my 1 ton and had to put it out with sea water and sand. From that point forward, I carry one in the truck, and five on the bus. 3 are mounted in different bays, 1 beside the front door, and 1 in the bedroom. If you think you're anal, then what does that make me? ;D ;D
